Q: Does anyone have the Honda Pilot SUV and how do you like it?
A: my dad has one, he loves it. we all drive Hondas. It’s a great size for lots of people and we haul lots of things in the back too. and a Honda will last forever and great gas milage.
Q: I own a Honda Pilot SUV 07 6 Cylinders 9000 mi, . Is it a good idea to trade it with a 4 cylinder 08 new car?
I paid for the Honda SUV $22,500 last year. The trade in price today is $16500 since gazoline is too high and there is not too much demand for big cars. I’m afraid that if i”ll keep it more time it will depreciate more so I’d like to know if it is a reasonabe move or I should still keep the SUV.
The SUV is driven by my wife and she does approx. 25 or 30 miles a day. The car makes 18-20 miles per gallon so im considering replacing it with a 4 cylinder car with more miles per gallon like Honda Accord Sedan. I can add $2700 and get a new Honda Accord 08. Is it a good move or im making a mistake? Thanx.
A: It gets better gas mileage than my mother’s Mercedes sedan with 4WD. In fact, it gets better mileage than most SUVs of its size. If you need the size, keep the vehicle because it’s great all-around. If you don’t need to haul, tow, or carry a lot of people and things, take the hit and get something more efficient.
Q: Did anyone import a Honda Pilot SUV from USA to EU and if so what did adjusting the car to EU standards cost?
A: it cost about half of what i paid for the pilot…
Q: When will Honda update their Pilot SUV?
When will Honda update their Pilot SUV, beyond the 2007 version?
A: The Pilot should follow Honda’s typical 5-year model cycle, which means a redesign is due for 2008.
The current Pilot was introduced for the 2003 model year. The mid-cycle refresh (a mild face lift and feature enhancements) occurred in 2006 (the fourth year of the current design). The 2007 model, the 5th year of the current design, is largely unchanged from the 2006.
The 2008 model will likely use the same all-new platform used on the redesigned 2007 Acura MDX.
Q: Does anyone experience any problems with the transmission of a Honda Pilot SUV? Please advice.?
A: I believe that there’s a TSB from Honda on those trannies. They have an extended warranty up to 109,000 miles. Practcally every V6 Honda has that H5 transmission and are prone to the problem. They should replace it for free. I know that the Acura MDX has that transmission and it’s not covered under the TSB. Being that the Pilot and MDX are the same vehicle with different styling, hopefully the Pilot is covered. Try to get Honda to replace it under the warranty anyway. Good luck.
Q: Which is best? A 2006 Honda Pilot SUV with full-time 4WD? Or the Pilot with 2WD and the VCM system?
VCM on the 2WD is variable cylinder management.
A: ALL WHEEL DRIVE IS THE WAY TO GO, IT WORKS MUCH BETTER THAN THE 2WD AND VCM. I HAD BOTH AND IN WINTER THE 4WD WORKS MUCH BETTER

A 3 year old honda pilot with roughly 35K miles on it and TONS of room? Or a brand new, smaller, CUV such as the Rav4, CR-V, or Forester?
A: I like forester alot
Q: 2006 honda Pilot this suv a good buy?
this car a good suv
A: number one it is a honda so reliability is great
amazing 4wd system for an every day person, but not for hard core mud bogging or anything, its no Z71
decent engine, v6.

honda parts, and repairs are some of the cheapest, and will not need as much service as any other brand
Q: honda pilot?
Hi I am looking to buy a honda pilot 03. Is it a fuel efficent suv or is it a gas guzzler. People have told me the tank lasts longer. I go to work and back which is 10 miles all together back forth to work…maybe less. Should I get it ? Any other suggestions I want to stick to Honda.
A: Fueleconomy.gov is very wrong. Ignore anyone who posts that like its word is the only truth. It’s merely a ballpark for fuel economy. It says my car can’t get more than 26 highway mpgs but I was up at 33 for about an hour just yesterday and usually average 29 highway miles doing 80+.
The Pilot gets about 18mpg in a suburban area and it’s not a gas guzzler. It’s actually one of the better large SUVs for its fuel economy.
However, if you don’t need the space, don’t get the SUV or at least get the CR-V which is more efficient and plenty spacious if you have one or two kids.
Q: Damp Headlight Honda Pilot 2009?
The headlight (right side) of my Honda Pilot SUV is always dampening with water. I really don’t know how water gets in there. Any suggestion on what to do to keep it dry?
A: There could be a small crack in the plastic which could be sealed or the gasket where the bulb goes in the back is damaged or the bulb holder is not turned in tight also check the vent on the backside. to check the light really good you can remove the assembly while it is out take it in the house and place it by a heat register to dry it.
Q: is the Honda Pilot a good SUV?
A: Oh yes there very reliable & the also good for traveling.
Q: Which to used SUV to buy? Toyota Highlander or Honda Pilot?
I’m looking at 2003’s. Which SUV do most people prefer? They’re quite similar, both are very reliable.
A: Highlander
Q: Which SUV: Nissan Xterra or Honda Pilot?
I’m looking at getting a small to mid size SUV, probably a couple of years old. Any opinions on this? It’s got to be Japanese because I’ve checked Consumer Reports and they have the highest reliability.
A: GO WITH THE HONDA PILOT AND YOU WILL BE VERY HAPPY FOR MANY YEARS.
