A: GPS navigation and Sync are separate options. Edges without navigation will not have the screen in the dash. The screen is for the GPS navigation system.

Q: Should I buy a new 2010 Ford Edge?
How do you guys like your Ford Edge? I heard that it gets no where near the 18city 25 hwy that the window sticker says (at least this is what owners says for previous years 07-09). Does anyone experience this with the 2010 Edge? Pros, cons anyone?

A: my sister has one that im in a lot. its a 2010 sel awd with sync. the sync is awesome, it rides good, the seats are really comfy, and the back seats have a ton of leg room. the handling is good but dont expect to be carving corners with it. its good in the snow and it averages 18 mpg, and the v6 makes good power and sounds good. the 18-25 highway mpg you listed is for the fwd, having awd puts the mpg down quite a bit but it really helps in the snow and ice. the only thing i would say i dont like about it is the clock screen where it has the radio numbers and stuff is tiny and hard to read. the one in my dads 2004 chevy truck is more legible. dont get me wrong its not a deal breaker, its just a small thing. its not like you cant read it.

A: Even though im a ford man i would definately go with black. it looks awesome especially if you are goin to raise it or add stuff to it

Q: How do I activate SIRIUS on my Sync enabled Ford Edge?
I have a 2010 Ford Edge with SYNC and the media system with the screen. There is no satellite radio button, but in the settings there is a SIRIUS Radio ESN, and there is a factory installed SIRIUS antenna on the roof. In the “media” section of SYNC, there is the usual jukebox CD and line in, but no satellite radio option – how do I get it to show so I can use it?

Q: What kind of bike rack can I use on my Ford Edge?
I just bought a new 2010 Ford Edge, but it does not have a hitch on it for a bike rack. I can’t reach to put my bike on the roof. Is there a rack out there that would work?

A: You could have a hitch installed on your car. Every time I buy a new car I insist that the dealer include a hitch once we have agreed on the price. Hitch racks are the easiest to install and remove, and they don’t touch any painted surface of the car which can cause scratches. There are many hitch rack designs, I prefer the type that support the bikes from under the wheels. I can install my rack and 2 bikes on the car in less than 5 minutes

Q: 2010 Ford Edge SEL Winter Tires Question?
We have a new Ford Edge SEL, and we are gonna put 4 winter tires.
The original equipment tires are P245/60R18 104H, hence 18″ tires.

Our Ford dealer mentioned that we can put 17″ tires on rims, but the tire-pressure
monitor that usually monitors the tire pressure won’t work in the winter months with the 17″ tires on rims, and that Ford doesn’t make rims 18″.

My question is, is it safe, to use the mags that are there now, and just put the 18″
winter tires on it? Will putting/using the 18″ winter tires on the 18″ mags that I use for BOTH summer and winter be bad for those mags? Will they ruin faster? I am so confused!

A: That’s a good question. Yeah, the road salt and snow will affect the finish on the wheels. The best thing to do is polish and wax them now, then do your best to keep them clean during the winter.

This is the downside to all the fancy technology and styling, there are no easy solutions when you want to do something simple like swap wheels for the winter.

The Edge SE comes with 17″ wheels. Maybe keep an eye out on e-bay and Craigslist to see if someone wants to sell their old Edge wheels. Until then, do the best you can to keep your car clean.

A: The redesigned 2009/10 Ford Edge which is in its third year of production has already been released.

There are many models. The SE, The SEL, The Sport, The Limited and the Hybrid.

The hybrid is to be released sometime before the end of 2009 so the buyers can take advantage of the Federal and State tax incentives.

Q: Is the 2011 Ford Edge worth waiting for, or should I buy a 2010 Nissan Murano?
We are expecting our second child in January and I want to get a crossover vehicle. I like the styling of the Edge, but research shows that a model upgrade is due in 2011. I also like the Nissan Murano, but I am worried that next year will be a big leap forward in auto technology.

A: The Murano will ALWAYS be worth more than the Edge. The residual value of the Murano is 10 times better than that of the Edge. Even when you have over 100k on your Murano it will still hold great value. Once you get over 100k on the Edge, the value drops tremendously. So just think of the future and if you ever are going to be selling or trading in your vehicle, go with the Murano. And as far as the vehicle goes, the Murano is a MUCH better vehicle all the way around.

Q: How much will my Ford Edge be worth in 3 years?
I just leased a 2010 Ford Edge. Nothing special about it. It has Sync and reverse sensing system. Over 3 years I will be making payments of about $15000.00 (a little more then $15k) I traded in a vehicle that had $2000.00 negative on it. When my lease is up I have the option to buy the Edge for a little over $13k. I can put 40k miles on it. Which I will hit pretty close if not a little over. How much will this Edge be worth in 3 years when my lease is up?

A: The leasing have a formula that use to figure it. If they say that you can buy it for a little over 13k ask them how much would be required down with good credit. The difference is of selling price and the down payment is the value.

what do you mean by redesigning? Exterior or interior? How would you know for sure?Ford Edge has been in the market only from 2007! It is too early to redesign it!

A: Ford Edge, better backseats and nicer ride, i believe it is faster also. For the most efficient in class the redesigned mazda cx-7 now offers a 4 cyl, which would also be cheaper, and the Nissan Murano is ranked best in class. Also Ford is expected to redesign the Edge next year, so if there isn’t a really good deal going on, i would not reccomend it. The mazda is best for value, the nissan for quality (it is more expensive though). Another good choice, especially for American is the redesigned chevy Equinox which should be cheaper than the edge w/ a 4 cylinder option also.

Ford entered a dramatic restructuring phase in 2007 to better compete with the japanese auto companies, but to stay caught up they are redesigning more often, for example, the fusion came out in 2007, but it was redesigned for 2010. For the edge they are expected to redesign the outside as well as change engine options from a v6 to an ecoboosted (twin turbocharged) v6 and an ecoboosted (single turbocharged) i4, the inside will be redesigned too, but I don’t know to what extent. Equinox is brand new for 2010, mazda cx-7 is refreshed for 2010. I would recommend either of those, getting a car the year before it is redesigned will lower resale value and is generally not the best choice.

Q: Would you wait for the 2010 model of the Edge or other Ford?

A: i would wait for the ford because it looks better and is faster io like fast cars
