Q: how much should i ask off?
I am looking to purchase 2009 or 2010 either chevy traverse or equinox. Used or new. What is a reasonable offer? How low can you go? I need tips i guess..first time car buyer…
A: at my dealership we would immediately accept an offer of $400 over invoice…and would probably consider anything between invoice and $400…minus the current rebates… most of our used cars start out with a $3000 markup over cost( that is pretty typical atleast in south western pennsylvania) That markup goes down the longer that the car sits on the lot and I slowly drop the price to get rid of it. A used car I like to make $500-$1000 (due to selling new cars at or near invoice)
bear in mind that the cars on the lot are not free, nor are my utility bills and payroll…so we can not sell cars at cost…even though people will tell you otherwise.

- cash down
TOTAL to be financed…
trade and discount are sometimes added together and called TRADE ALLOWANCE
if you want to make your car buying experience easy, and fair…you can be in and out by
look online and figure out what car you want. then figure out what dealership has it
walk in
find a sales MANAGER…he needs to approve every deal anyway…so cut to the chase.( he will probably give you a salesperson to do the paperwork)
tell him/her I want this car
I will pay $400 over invoice
I will finance with you and give you 1 point
I will buy an extended warranty $300 over cost.
I would take that deal in a heartbeat…my dealership would make about 800 dollars, and you would get a good deal, interest rate, and warranty…and be driving you car in less than an hour after walking in my door.
Q: The Vineyard Inn-Traverse City MI?
I’m getting married on May 15th 2010 and I was wondering if anyone has ever used them or stayed with them?? If you’ve had your wedding there I’d appreciate some feedback, how many guests you had, how much it cost, etc..Thank you all so much!!
A: I have been to Traverse City many times, I love it there! It is a beautiful location and I am sure a wedding would be perfect! I don’t know any details but I think its a perfect sport for a wedding!
Q: Why do new trucks/SUVs look like sh*t?
I swear the only trucks in production right now that I find attractive at all are the Land Rovers. What is going on? All trucks and SUVs used to be so beautiful AND capable! Now they look like bubbles that can’t even roll to the end of a snowy driveway. And the sides are so high and hideous!

A: the real answer is that [in the past] these TRUCK BASED vehicles became popular for their abilities,
then the market demographic shifted from people who had to get somewhere period to people with large disposable incomes that never used the potential capabilities [so why make it actually capable?] then the “designers” got involved loading these incapable barges down with the sort of trash that is called in car entertainment, power or automatic everything, g.p.s.[for people who are always lost, on the way to the mall]
unfortunately there is very little left on the market that has any capabilities period at any price.
with the possible exceptions of the kia sportage [inexpensive and becomes capable with decent wheels/tire combinations] and the super duty fords when equipped with the power stroke diesel
and the blacked out grill [they gotta lose the[[ be bop-a- do waa]] chrome and have a gizmo delete option]
