I happened to see an ad on the new 2010 Cadillac SRX, and the air vents look like those on the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox.

A: Nick is absolutely right they all share the same platform with much much noticeable differences. I’ve also heard that Buick will get a CUV on the same platform but it will have the Voltec system.

Q: How Much extra Does Leather Cost In the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox?
I am Getting a 2010 Chevy Equinox when they come out next month and I am wondering how much extra leather will cost! Because Chvey/GM even though I love them do not have very nice cloth seats and I dont know what the cloth seats look like in the new equinox!

A: to get leather you have to get a higher package so that can cost a bit. You could add leather that costs $1000 for a dealer to install leather.

Q: 2010 chevrolet equinox, what are the differences between LS and LT trims?
I specifically want to know if there are any interior differences. LT1 says that it has premium cloth seats, but the pictures look the exact same as the LS seats, are they different?

A: I have done a lot of research on this and ended up purchasing the LT1 because I liked the seats/ interior better. There is a difference in appearance with the LS you can only get two toned such as black/titanium interior. On the LT1 you can get an all jet black interior with the black seats, which I prefered over the two toned. Hope that helps.

So we bought Equinox LT1 2010 yesterday but I am not 100 % satisfied with it neither….So I really need some advices which one is better LT 1 OR SLE1 ( both are all wheel)

A: With those its mostly about styling. The Terrain has a few more standard features than the Nox, but nothing huge. Buy the one you like best, neither is a bad choice.

A: The answer to your question is yes.The 2.4 liter 182HP engine moves the 2010 equinox well in both models the FWD & AWD The standard 6 speed automatic transmission helps the equinox get really good MPG.The AWD model post 20 city and 29 hwy MPG and the FWD model post 22city and 32 hwy MPG with the 2.4 liter engine.The equinox also has a 18 gallon fuel tank that makes for a long distance between fill-ups.Best of luck.

Please try to remember the equinox is a chevrolet.To drive the equinox problem free for 10 years your in dream land.In ten years of driving a equinox you will have electrical problem,oil leaks,suspension problems,heater and ac problems and your going to have the transmission worked on a least twice.Trust me the equinox level of engineering is second rate to say the least.You can fine a better built crossover that does not carry the GM brand.Best of luck.

Has anyone managed to get 32MPG with this car?
Whomever I asked they were experiencing 24-26 mpg hwy drive.
How can automaker claim false car economy? Is anyone (like EPA) checking real mileage? This looks like big fraud to me – do you agree?

A: I have a AWD and have around 2000km on it now, I drive about 50% highway and 50% city. My average for the 2000km is (as per the display) is 27MPG.

So I am thinking if I was driving the FWD (which gets better than my AWD I should be averaging around 30MPG

Q: Just bought a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox for my wife?
When the car is idle i feel a little shake coming from the motor. Could it be that the car has a 4 cylinder, never owned a car with that small of motor. I guess I need to take it in but I hate going to the damn dealership! Does anybody know if thats normal or whats going on?
I guess some people just answer with random crap w/o reading the question D!, I know what I purchased. As I already put in my question I was questioning if the car having a 4 cylinder had something to do with it shaking. I know its a crossover and the cons and pros and what comes standard and what I put in extra. YES! it has warranty Read the question again.

A: 4 Cylinders naturally shake due to the fact that only 2 cylinders fire at different times per rotation of the crankshaft . 6 and 8 Cylinder motors are smoother because there is a more uniform firing of the cylinders throughout the rotation of the crankshaft due to the simple fact that there are more cylinders. Many 4 cylinder engines have a balance shaft implement within the engine block. it spins twice as fast as the crankshaft and is supposed to counteract the shaking/vibration of the motor. perhaps the motor in your Equinox isn’t equipped with that. If that’s the case, nothing sounds to be out of place. The shaking is normal and the motor is running fine.

The newly designed model of the Chevrolet Equinox looks amazing. Well priced, and very good fuel economy for the 185 Horsepower (21 city, 30 highway). Does the engine run smoothly like a CVT? How do Direct injection vehicles run like when you drive? Is this car reliable?

A: My only complaint about the equinox is it is a little to comfortable. everything in the vehicle was laid out thoughtfully and it was driver friendly and well constructed. it almost lulled me to sleep, but that is traffics fault

A: Hands down the Ford Escape is more reliable, better quality.
FRom what I hear underpowered tho with the 4 cylinder.
We have an 01 Escape all wheel drive with th e3.0 V6. It gets a solid 20 MPG in town
Excellent ride, comfort, handling.
We traded in a junk GM S10 money pit on the Escape. Never again will a GM vehicle disgrace our driveway.
